Things Explained By
The Inability Of The Autistic To Process Partiality
And The Resulting Effects
On Behavioral,
Social, Emotional and
Sensory Functions
Finally An Explanation
That Puts It All Together!
Return To HOME Page
There are several key behavioral, social,
emotional and sensory issues that can be
explained by my theory of the importance of order, partiality verses the whole
and labeling in the life of the autistic child.
The numerous issues explained by my theory are listed in
the table below. What is amazing about
this theory is that ONE thing explains so much... how the brain processes the
part from the whole... a function that has to do with the ordering of information...
whether that information is reflected in or
considered a behavioral, social,
emotional, or sensory aspect of life makes no difference!
This one factor explains issues in all spectrums because the
issue is one of
how things are mentally processed... not
an issue specific to behavior, emotion, socialization, or physical sensation
(although I do believe there are
a few
aspects of autism that are, in my opinion, "truly sensory in
nature" ).
If a
link
is provided, it means
I have written up the basics behind the explanation and given examples where I
could of things I've done to help my child cope with this issue.
More than one shade of green in "one block"
means that this issue is discussed in more than one place
and as such, all links for that topic are provided in various shades of green
within "one block".
No link
means I have yet to write up that section.
An orange link means something in that section needs
updating...but,
what is there is a good start based on what I knew when I
wrote my book...
so, if you now look at what is written in view of
"partiality" as opposed to simply "order", it all makes perfect sense!
Truly, so many things are explained by this issue with
the "partial" that it is certainly a major major piece of the autism puzzle. :o) All these
issues, are also addressed in the section called:
A World Of Order©
should you want to go there directly. The difference between "A
World Of Order©" and this section is that this section keeps issues
listed separately whereas "A World Of Order©" integrates them all.
This section provides a quicker reference for parents interested in
understanding one specific issue and lets you know where the issue is addressed
under "A World Of Order©".

All Explained By My Theory Of "What's Going On In The Autistic Child", See:

THE REVELATION (Chapter
16 of my book - where I only just started to piece this together).
At the time I thought "order" was the issue - I now see it is a subset of
order... "partiality"!
