A World of Order© -
The Critical Role of Partiality and Labeling
In The Life Of The Autistic Child!
Return To HOME Page
I will be providing a lot more
information in this section since I've come to understand so much more now that
I see the role of partiality in the life of the autistic child... so, check back
every day for new information - at least through August 2002!
Based on
my theory, so much can now be explained.
Please read introductory
materials too.
Almost everything you see in the autistic child can be
explained based on one common link: The
inability to cope with partialities. I strongly encourage
all parents to look at the "Missing
Link" section for a listing of "things
explained" by this ONE factor. This will help
you truly see how all this fits together. Readers are going to be amazed at how simple it is to
understand the autistic child once you see autism
for what it truly is - a disorder affecting a person's
ability to cope with and process partiality in all aspects of life (emotional, social,
sensory and behavioral) and to deal with various
facets of the "ordering function".
This is a disorder that indeed, has
taken away all ability to cope with everyday life, a disorder that has taken
away all flexibility in terms of adjusting to the real world in all facets of
life... a disorder that necessitates that every part to the whole, in
everything always be defined. This is a disorder that places a child
at great risk in terms of physical safety as well, for no parent can ever define
every dangerous situation... nor can one anticipate what danger lies ahead for
the child at every moment. Children have to be able to perceive
danger on their own... and for the autistic child, that perception requires a
great deal of mental processing he is literally incapable of doing -especially
not when time is of the essence and a reaction must be quick in order to avoid a
possible danger! The autistic child simply does not have the inherent
ability to perform such necessary analysis in a dangerous situation.
Many issues are "collated" in this
section - A World of Order© - whereas under "The
Missing Link", they are kept "apart" as a listing of issues.
With
my first book, I had the first
critical piece... I was "close" but still "not there"... now, I've got what I
believe is a HUGE chunk of the puzzle of autism.
In this section -
A World Of Order© - I also provide "insights"
on how I would try to teach certain basics (like language) based on the need for
order, the understanding of the part verses the whole, and the critical role of
labels - if I were a parent still dealing with some of these development issues -
if my child hadn't passed certain milestones. I also provide
exercises I do at home that I know are making a huge difference and discuss how
to address so many key stumbling blocks in terms of the partial verses the
whole, grouping, and labeling in the life of
an autistic child. (See
Table Below)
Not only does this theory about the
inability to deal with partialities, explain so many behavioral, social,
emotional and sensory issues in the autistic, it
also explains the great variation in the autistic when it comes to all these
issues. If labeling is key to so much of
this... to so much of helping the autistic child cope with his world, his
emotions, etc..., then, the fact
that parents unknowingly provide labels at various rates in various situations,
helps explain why for some children there may be more of a struggle in one area
than in another.
It may be simply that the coping mechanism of labels was
not as readily provided in that area... again, it all makes perfect sense!

is no specific order to these...my focus right now is just to "share the
info"... I'm not particularly worried about how "pretty" it is... :o).
I do suggest you read
my first book to get a good understanding of how
I came to recognize the issues I now so clearly see! It was only after
my first book was written, however, that I came to understand so much... and
as such, I wrote a second book... the
collection of materials you will find below - over 300 pages worth.
This book will soon be available in paper format! |

How Could We Have Missed This For
So Long? |
Again, it is my firm belief that autistic children do
experience a "drug induced state" from casein (dairy) and gluten (grain)
proteins. And so, I encourage all parents to seriously consider a
diet overhaul... and/or digestive enzymes (see
NEW THINGS IN TREATMENT OF THE AUTISTIC...New stuff I discovered since I wrote the book)...
In my opinion, you need to remove the "drug induced state" before your child
can truly understand and experience optimal learning! :o)
This is a work in progress...
continue to check back!!!
